Start with AI jobs in 7 days: free checklist

Remote AI jobs are usually short contracts: rating answers, testing apps, labelling data or recording audio. Pay, hours and availability change from job to job, and many applications get no reply. This checklist helps you apply in a careful, honest way. It does not promise income.

Day 1: Learn the job types

  • Read about four common types: rating or review tasks, testing, data labelling (annotation), and audio or transcription work.
  • Write down which type fits your skills and your languages.

Day 2: Prepare your setup

  • You need a computer, a stable internet connection, a quiet place and a free email address you check daily.
  • Keep your ID ready, because real companies may ask for it later (never at the very first step).
  • Rule: a real job never asks you to pay to apply.

Day 3: Write a one-page profile

  • Write your skills, languages and tools in simple words.
  • Only write things that are true. Employers check.
  • Need a template? You can build a one-page resume with Resume.io (affiliate link, check its pricing first). Free tools such as Google Docs or Canva also work.

Day 4: Choose 3 roles

  • Open our Open AI Jobs page.
  • Look at roles marked “Easy start” and read each listing: listed pay, hours, requirements.
  • Pick 3 that match you. Skip roles that ask for a PhD or years of experience if you do not have them.

Day 5: Apply to 2 roles

  • Follow the apply steps on the job platform.
  • Keep a note: date, role, link.

Day 6: Practise for the test

  • Many platforms ask for a short qualification test. Practise by rating 5 answers or labelling 5 pictures at home, slowly and carefully.
  • Read the instructions twice before you start any real test.

Day 7: Review and apply again

  • Check your notes and apply to 2 more roles.
  • Scam check: leave if someone asks for money, asks for bank details early, or will not name the company.

After day 7

  • Keep applying a little each week. Results vary, and many beginners need several tries.
  • Come back every Monday: we list one new checked job.
